We Specialise in Trenchless Sewer
Replacement In San Francisco

Magic Plumbing installs approximately 200
sewer lines every year.
A large quantity of those are Trenchless Sewer Replacement-No
Dig applications.
Trenchless Sewer Replacement also known as Trenchless Plumbing
or No Dig Sewer Line
Replacement doesn't
mean destroyed yards, ruined driveways or devastated parking
lots. The Magic Trenchless non invasive repair methods result
in less damage than traditional open cut techniques. Trenchless
pipe replacement is the high performance alternative to costly
ongoing maintenance or temporary lining methods. The pipe that
we use in a trenchless installation is of much better quality
that conventional cast iron pipe.
How does it
work? Magic Plumbing uses the Tric
Trenchless sewer
replacement -No Dig system, which works
by digging two holes, one where the sewer exits the
building and the other at either the property line or in
the street where it connects to the mainline. A steel
cable is then threaded through the old sewer pipe and a
hardened steel bursting head is attached to one end of
the cable. The new polyethylene pipe is then attached to
the back of the bursting head. At the other end the TRIC
hydraulic system is set up which pulls the cable. Once
the system has been set up and turned on the operator
uses a remote control to "pull" the cable with the head
and pipe attached down into the hole at the side of the
house. It then pulls the new HDPE pipe through the old
pipe breaking it and pushing the pieces out into the
surrounding soil. The new pipe gets pulled all the way to
the exit hole where the connections are made, it is
inspected and then the holes filled in.

Trenchless Sewer Replacement In
San Francisco, How much does it cost?
It all depends on the location.
Depending on the hardscape (What's above the pipe being
replaced), the price might range between $100 and $200 per
foot.
Is it cheaper than just
having my sewer line dug up and replaced?
Usually. Much of the cost of a
sewer replacement job is in the restoration of the property
that had been dug up. The TRIC trenchless system helps greatly
in minimizing restoration costs and the savings can be passed
down to you.
How long
does it take?
The actual "pulling" or bursting
of the old pipe usually takes less than one hour but sometimes
a little longer. Trenchless sewer replacement in San Francisco
the entire job from preparation of the holes to making the
final connections is often done in a few days.
What type
of pipe do you use? Our trenchless system primarily uses HDPE
or High Density Polyethylene Pipe as the replacement pipe.
This pipe is superior to other traditional pipe such as
clay, cast iron or pvc plastic piping. HDPE pipe is
inherently corrosion resistant, leak tight because the pipe
is fused or melted together where the joint is stronger than
any other part of the pipe, and highly flexible. For
trenchless installation it is the pipe of choice.
What is
the difference between this process and just having my sewer
replaced with traditional
methods? The biggest difference is that the
trenchless sewer installation system minimizes destruction
to your landscaping and hard surface areas such as driveways
and concrete. By only digging two small access holes the
process preserves what otherwise would have to be dug up and
replaced by traditional methods of pipe
replacement.
How long
does the new HDPE pipe
last? HDPE
pipe has an estimated life of well over two hundred
years.
What is
the warranty on a sewer replacement done this way with HDPE
pipe?
We guarantee the pipe will not
fail in your life time.
Here is an actual trenchless sewer line no dig
replacement?
Magic Plumbing replaced the
existing underground pipe by digging small entry and exit
holes at the beginning and end of the damaged
pipe.

New pipe is pulled under the street. One continuous
length, no joints the Tric Hydraulic 40 Ton Ram pulls new
pipe underground

One continuous length, no
joints

The hydraulic ram
pulled the new pipe through the damaged pipe underground
using a steel cable and a splitting wedge, breaking the old
pipe apart to accommodate the new HDPE pipe. One continuous
length of pipe is installed free of joints under buildings,
trees, driveways and roads without digging a
trench.
Magic Plumbing uses Polyethylene HDPE
pipe to replace the building's sewer.
Because of its unique properties and flexibility, it will not
corrode or be harmed by chemicals. It's so flexible, even earth
movement can't break it! This guarantees that your sewer will
never break in your lifetime.
This
sewer replacement was completed in 2 Days, with minimal
or no disruption.
